Earlier this year, Color Clutch decided to spread its wings and ship to a few different countries outside of the US. With the help of our awesome fulfillment center (cheers to you, Shipmonk!), we were able to begin shipping to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

So many of you are excited that you can now get our Color Clutch nail polish cases shipped straight to your door (thank you for the love!). But a few of you have some questions about the process for international shipping. Because we pride ourselves on being very transparent at Color Clutch, I wanted to write a detailed blog post and go through some FAQ’s about international shipping.

Time for a happy dance! Color Clutch now ships to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Question 1: Why is shipping so expensive?
Ah yes, the number one question we receive. We wish it wasn’t so pricey! The shipping prices we show at checkout are calculated by taking the price we pay to the carrier (DHL, FedEx, USPS, etc.), and then slashing the cost so we can pass on some savings to you, the customer. So yes, we lose money on shipping. The price we charge our customer is less than the price we actually pay.
We do this because we want to make it easier for our customers to get their hands on a Color Clutch. And because we don’t have any retail stores outside of the US, the only way to get a Color Clutch is by purchasing it online and paying that international shipping price tag. So we’re trying to help out – even if it’s just a few dollars.
Ready for a quick geography lesson? Our warehouse is located in sunny South Florida. Because of that, it’s more expensive for us to ship items to Australia or Canada than it is for us to ship goods to Canada.
Hopefully one day we will have warehouses in other countries so that we can make it more affordable to ship our product to you!
Question 2: Are duties and taxes included at checkout?
Duties and taxes are not included at checkout. The amount of duties and taxes varies by location, and we don’t currently have visibility in to this additional cost. So yes, there might be an additional cost for your items upon pickup.
Question 3: Do you have any retail stores in countries outside of the US?
We currently don’t have any retail partners outside of the US, but we are always looking for great retail partners! Question 4: Is there any other way to get a Color Clutch shipped to countries outside of the US?
